We created SIAN because we own and operate our own independent news sites in the city and quickly learned the challenge of attracting large-scale advertising campaigns in the indie space. We present an opportunity for your high engagement Seattle news and info site to connect with larger advertisers who might not be able to scale their ad buying processes down to the individual indie news site level. Your ad inventory and business belongs to you. But by pooling our resources together, the Seattle Indie Ad Network gives each of our sites the opportunity for a secondary source of revenue to build on.

How it works: We can't accept everybody into the network. We want to work with truly independent, leading community news sites. Once you have been accepted, you add a small snippet of javascript code to your site templates and your inventory becomes part of the SIAN pool. Our sales team sells the network inventory as a package so we never sell an individual site. That's your job! We sell the Seattle Indie Ad Network pool. The revenue from the network is then shared based on impressions contributed to the pool by your site.
